Under the agreement, Visa is set to integrate its payment processing and account holder authentication services as well as its global network reach with Intel’s technology to provide mobile banking services including person-to-person payments, bill payments, mobile airtime top-ups and other.
Visa’s payWave and Intel’s Atom-based smartphones and tablets are set to enable consumers to have access to transactions and hardware-based display protection. Additionally, Intel’s smartphones are set to be equipped with near field communication (NFC) technology.
