Voice Commerce, Alcatel-Lucent partner in a bid to speed up mobile money adoption

UK financial services group Voice Commerce has formed a partnership with telecommunication services company Alcatel-Lucent.

Under the terms of the agreement, Voice Commerce will provide mobile operators with payment and mobile money capabilities supported by Alcatel-Lucents Mobile Wallet Service (MWS). The service allows network operators to offer customers a series of applications such as person-to- person (P2P) payments, remote ticketing, proximity payments and m-commerce.

Voice Commerce’s partnership initiative is based on recent observation of the growth tendency shown by the electronic mobile wallet market. According to the predicitions made by Gartner Group, the industry is expected to reach USD 245 billion in value by 2015.

Voice Commerce operates and delivers mobile financial, payment, identity and verification services to consumers and businesses.
