WebSpace Commerce, Jumio to reduce mobile cart abandonment for Magento websites

Jumio, an online verification and mobile payments platform company, has been selected by WebSpace Commerce (WSC), a group of Magento developers and consultants, as its technology partner to help websites running Magento reduce cart abandonment.

WSC will be working with Magento websites to implement Jumio’s Netswipe card scanning technology. Jumio’s Netswipe works as an integrated option in merchants’ checkout process to enable shoppers to go through the checkout process by using their mobile device’s camera to scan their payment card instead of manually entering their information.

According to Bjorn Evers, Director at Jumio, latest findings show that while 68 percent of consumers are shopping via their mobile devices, 66 percent of them are abandoning these transactions because of the mobile shopping experience.

WSC is a developers and consultants for the global Magento open source e-commerce platform operated by 150,000 merchants. Jumio provides payments and ID scanning & validation products for mobile and web transactions. The companys products are used by retailers, marketplaces and financial institutions.
