Wrapp teams up with Braintree

Thursday 14 February 2013 09:49 CET | News

US-based payments platform for online and mobile commerce Braintree has been selected by Swedish provider of social gift giving application Wrapp as its payments provider.

Under the agreement, in addition to using the platform, Wrapp will be available on Venmo Touch in the US, Braintree’s new service that enables one touch payments across multiple mobile applications.

Venmo Touch is set to enable consumers to enter their credit card information once and pay across merchants in Braintree’s network. When users enter their payment information into one of the apps in the network, they will be prompted to “save the card with Venmo” to enable one touch payments when using other apps on the same device.

Allowing US and multi-national companies to accept payments in more than 130 currencies, Braintree currently processes over USD 5 billion in credit card transactions each year, including almost USD 1 billion in mobile payments. In recent news, Braintree has launched Venmo Touch, a service that enables one touch payments across multiple applications.
