US collaborative business commerce and e-invoicing services provider Ariba is set to release a new version of its collaborative commerce platform, featuring enhancements to both the Ariba Network and its cloud-based collaborative commerce applications.

Leveraging functionality embedded in Ariba Procure-to-Pay, buying organisations are able to create and deploy catalogues through which employees across functions, divisions and geographies can find the goods and services they need and purchase them in compliance with preferred vendor agreements, contracted prices and buying policies.

The latest release of the application features a new buying interface that gives requisitioners real-time access to the information they need to make informed and compliant buying decisions, including consumerised catalogue and search capabilities, guided product comparison tools, buying procedures to enable requisitioning and collaboration, Real-time budget tracking and reporting as well as visual workflow

Ariba’s upcoming Seller Collaboration Console will enable organization with the ability to manage the order-to-cash process across all their customers on the Ariba Network through a single interface via tools such as a single sign-on console, synchronised profile and catalogue management, advanced receivables and discount management.

The latest version of Ariba’s cloud-based collaborative commerce platform will be released in the summer of 2012.

In recent news, Ariba has entered an agreement with Microsoft to allow businesses to connect to the Ariba Network.
