Bank of Internet USA launches Popmoney P2P payment service

Bank of Internet USA, a savings bank which operates primarily via the internet, has rolled out a P2P payment service, dubbed Popmoney.

The newly launched P2P payment service enables customers to electronically send money to other people as an alternative to sending cash or checks to friends and family. Via Popmoney, customers are able to send money to anyone using either their email address or mobile number, without having to know their bank account information.

Bank of Internet USA, a subsidiary of BofI Holding, provides a various consumer and wholesale banking services, focusing on gathering retail deposits over the internet.
