Dhanalakshmi Bank launches online banking portal in India

Indian financial services provider Dhanalakshmi Bank has launched an online banking service which allows customers to check their account balances, generate account statements and carry out online funds transfers, online news outlet business-standard.com reports.

Additionally, Dhanalakshmi Bank customers who decide to sign up for the internet banking service can use the online portal to register requests for fixed deposits, view details regarding their loans and generate statements, enquire about cheque status and issue instructions to stop cheque payments. According to the same source, the bank has deployed a two-step authentication process for user login, in which the customers are provided with an ID and two different passwords, one for account logins and the other for transaction confirmation.

The bank has made public its intention to expand the range of online financial services it provides by adding an online bill payment option, as well as other features which will allow users to shop online, book plane and railway tickets, repay loans and pay their credit card bills via the internet.
