Dubai lslamic Bank rolls out upgraded Al Islami Online Banking platform

UAE-based financial services provider Dubai Islamic Bank has launched its new Al Islami Online Banking system.

The launch marks the first phase in the bank’s modernisation program. The upgraded online banking platform includes a series of enhancements, such as an enhanced user interface, graphical representation of account and card transactions, detailed information across all banking relationships, online setup and maintenance of login credentials, as well as customisable account management and security settings.

According to recent data, Middle East internet usage increased over 1,100 percent between 2000-2008. Currently, there are more than 48 million internet users in the region, who spend an average 22 minutes a day online. In the UAE, which has the highest internet penetration rate in the Middle East, nearly 60 percent of the population is now online.
