Fiserv, Cardlytics in merchant rewards deal via Corillian Online banking platform

US-based transaction marketing services provider Cardlytics has entered a partnership with US financial technology company Fiserv in a bid to deliver merchant-funded rewards through the latter’s Corillian Online banking, payment and personal financial management (PFM) platform.

As a result, Fiserv is expected to provide financial institutions with the ability to integrate targeted reward offers into their banking platform. Thus, customers are enabled to redeem rewards by clicking on an offer within their transaction history and then spending at the designated merchant using their bank-issued debit, credit or prepaid card.

Cardlytics’ transaction marketing platform is set to enable banks to present relevant offers that are funded by local, regional and national merchants using an account holders spending patterns.

US financial institution Regions Bank currently offers targeted rewards to online banking customers supported by Fiserv and Cardlytics platform services. The programs are initially available to users of the Corillian Online platform, with future plans to integrate the Mobile Money banking service from Fiserv as well.

In recent news, Fiserv has entered a partnership with nine credit unions to provide them with account processing platforms along with several other capabilities designed to support internet and mobile banking, electronic statements, person-to-person (P2P) payments, as well as loan originations.
