Internet and PC security services provider Prevx has entered a partnership with South African financial services provider FNB Bank to provide the latter’s online banking customers with fraud attack protection services.

According to the agreement, FNB Bank will gain the ability to protect its clients against malicious software attacks by joining the Prevx SafeOnline Business Partner Program. The program shields confidential data such as passwords, session credentials, addresses, credit card details and account numbers displayed during an online transaction, against online fraud. The anti-fraud software also protects sensitive information displayed and entered when accessing social networking sites.

FNB Bank provides banking services to more than 6 million customers across the South African territory.
