Gemalto introduces Ezio Plug & Sign for online transaction security

Thursday 3 November 2011 14:55 CET | News

Dutch digital security company Gemalto has rolled out the Ezio Plug & Sign, a corporate banking device which aims to combat automated clearing house (ACH) and wire transfer fraud.

The Ezio Plug & Sign device enables users to perform online banking activities without dealing with online risks by providing a secure web browser for online banking, also called a “safe zone”. In addition, the device also offers secure email, secure electronic bank account management and statement viewing.

In order to activate the Ezio Plug & Sign users must plug the USB device into a computer and then they will be able to perform and review banking transactions via a portal which will protect them against online threats.

The Ezio Plug & Sign is now available on the North American markets.

In recent news, Gemalto has been selected by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) as the trusted third-party to deploy mobile near field communication (NFC) contactless services across Singapore.
