GTE Federal Credit Union partners Pevx for online banking security services

Wednesday 23 June 2010 11:30 CET | News

Internet and PC security services provider Prevx has entered a partnership with US-based financial company GTE Federal Credit Union to provide the latter’s online banking customers with data theft protection services.

Under the deal, GTE Federal Credit Union will gain the ability to protect its clients against malicious software attack by joining the Prevx SafeOnline Business Partner Program. The program protects confidential data such as passwords, session credentials, addresses, credit card details and account numbers displayed during an online transaction, against online fraud.

In case of malware attack, the program locks down the PC operating system and browser to render malware blind to the transaction. In addition, Prevx SafeOnline ensures that customers are connected to the original GTE Federal Credit Union website and not a potential phishing site.
