Over half of the UK consumers are interested in single platform-hosted online personal finance management capabilities, yet few know where to access them, a recent survey has revealed.

The study was conducted by Yodlee, a provider of online personal financial management (PFM) services, and has shown that there is a high demand among UK banking customers for online money management services, with over two-thirds of respondents willing to trust their financial institution with such a mission.

However, 65 percent of respondents were unaware of the existence of online banking tools, attention situation indicative of the need for further development of consumers’ financial habits and fiscal responsibility educational programs.

When asked how many different websites they currently use for personal finance management, over one-third of the respondents have named three or more websites, the same source pointed out. However, 25 percent of the participants have manifested openness to the idea of changing their current financial services provider in order to gain access to centralized online personal financial management services.
