China-based financial services provider HSBC has launched a suite of online banking services designed to enable its clients to settle their transactions in CNY.

The banking platform includes services such as remittances, transfer and payments, deposits, application for import document credits, settlement of import bills and account enquiries. The online banking functionalities can also be accessed via a mobile device. Thus, customers will be enabled to monitor their transaction history and account balance as well as perform money transfers using their mobile phone.

Under the CNY trade settlement pilot scheme, HSBC was the first international bank to complete its CNY trade settlement in mainland China’s expanded provinces and cities.
