Japanese internet bank opts for TSYS processing services

Global payment services company TSYS has signed a contract with Japanese internet financial services provider SBI Sumishin Net Bank (SSNB) to process the latter’s payment card portfolio.

Under the terms of the agreement,TSYS is set to enable SSNB to issue cards to consumers, including retail membership cards, a proprietary private-label credit card and association-branded credit cards.The conversion is expected in April 2010.

SBI Sumishin Net Bank (SSNB) has been jointly established by SBI Holdings and The Sumitomo Trust Bank. SSNB provides a series of other finance-related services including securities, life insurance, non-life insurance, credit cards, real estate, e-commerce settlement and asset management.
