Internet security services provider Trusteer has signed an agreement with UK financial institution Metro Bank to provide the latter with security services against financial malware attacks, fraud as well as identity theft.

Under the terms of the contract, Metro Bank is expected to deploy Trusteer’s Rapport, a security service set to protect data exchanged during online banking sessions including usernames, passwords and account information.

Trusteers Rapport security software is set to protect online transactions by monitoring browser processes so malware cannot log keystrokes, redirect the browser or inject transactions. The product is also set to prevent redirection to fraudulent websites and locks down communications during transmission.
