Online banking popular among German commuters

Monday 19 April 2010 11:06 CET | News

Over 50 percent of the commuters who have to travel further than 50 kilometers choose online banking services, whereas only 30 percent of the persons that live in immediate proximity to their workplace use the internet to do their banking, according to research carried out by the Deutsche Bank group.

The same research indicates that commuters opt for online banking services to save more of the time that they spend commuting. Internet banking meets the demands of the commuters who need solutions that take into account both the limited time at their disposal and their distance from commercial centers.

Deutsche Bank was founded in 1870 as a foreign trade bank, and within three years had opened branches in Japan, China and the UK.
