Financial services provider RBS Citizens Financial Group (RBS) has added person-to-person (P2P)) payments for its online banking users and has expanded the automated clearing house (ACH) transfers for its mobile banking users.

In order to be able to provide the newly introduced services, Citizens has started using the Popmoney service from US financial services technology company Fiserv. Via Popmoney, Citizens also offers transfers to outside accounts.

Popmoney enables consumers to send or receive money electronically via their existing bank accounts. RBS Citizens Financial Group has more than 1,500 branches and almost 3,900 ATMs. The bank operates its branch network in 12 states and has non-branch retail and commercial offices in about 40 states.
