Regions Bank joins the Secure Vault Payments Network

Wednesday 11 January 2012 00:42 CET | News

US-based provider of consumer and commercial banking services Regions Financial has joined the Secure Vault Payments (SVP) network.

The SVP payment method, which has been developed by the Electronic Payments Association (NACHA) and global provider of online payments eWise, allows consumers to make payments on a merchant or biller’s website directlyvia their bank account.

Customers will be automatically redirected to their own financial institution’s online banking platform to select which account they wish to use for payment and to confirm the payment. Consumers are allowed to perform this transaction without having to enroll, register or share their financial account information with the merchant or biller.

Regional Bank is the subsidiary of Regional Financial. Regions Bank operates over 1,800 banking offices and 2,200 ATMs across the US.
