SoftBank is planning to invest USD 25 billion by 2021 in the technology sector through a special fund.

The company had signed a nonbinding agreement with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, which will consider contributing USD 45 billion over five years to the new fund as lead partner, wsj.com reports.

SoftBank is in talks with “a few large global investors” who could eventually help push the fund, tentatively called the SoftBank Vision Fund, up to USD 100 billion.
