The Coastal Bank, a community bank in Georgia, has selected the portable computing services provider IronKey to provide its customers with the latter’s Trusted Access service which offers protection against identity theft, payments fraud and online banking account takeover.

With Trusted Access, customers’ banking transactions are protected against crimeware. Furthermore, the Coastal Bank offers its customers the latest Trusted Access feature, dubbed Trusted Bookmarks, which allows them to access popular websites, such as business, retail and financial websites, using a white list which is managed by the bank for their users.

IronKeys Trusted Access application offers protection against various attacks, including man-in-browser attack, keylogging, network monitoring and DNS tampering. The IronKey service includes the Trusted Access portable USB security device which launches a protected, virtualized operating system and web browser that only works with the IronKey Trusted Network and, when deployed, limits the users’ online access to bank-approved sites.
