US developer of processing technology for network-based payment systems TxVia has inked a contract with US personal banking company BankSimple to offer processing for payment cards for the latter’s online and mobile banking platform.

Under the terms of the deal, the BankSimple service is set to provide FDIC-insured products accessed through a BankSimple-branded card. The service is expected to feature access to over 50,000 ATMs, online bill payment, money transfers and an open Application Programming Interface (API). In addition, the BankSimple service is set to include customer service via the phone and online.

In March 2010 , TxVia has launched several services to enable third parties to become processors for prepaid cards, an initiative aimed at payments and transaction processing companies that supply credit, debit, payroll, bill payment, core banking and other processing services as well as business process outsourcing and managed services functions.
