ACI Worldwide, Spectrum to deliver fraud prevention using mobile alerts

Monday 18 June 2012 14:09 CET | News

ACI Worldwide, a US online payment services provider, has entered an agreement with Spectrum Message Services, a provider of SMS alerting and interactive applications, to deliver mobile alerting using Spectrums MoneyGuard product.

Organizations using ACI mobile alerting will be able to identify suspicious transactions and send an SMS message to the customer containing details of the transaction such as location and amount. If that transaction is fraudulent the customer can respond with a simple BLOCK message and the card can be frozen.

Customers can also ask to be automatically notified of transactions that meet pre-defined fraud prevention parameters such as international charges, transactions of more than a certain value or online charges. They can also use the tool and its mobile browser extensions, to request balance inquiries, change credit limits, change personal alert thresholds, or receive one time passwords.

ACI Worldwide provides electronic payments for more than 800 financial institutions, retailers and processors worldwide. Moreover, ACI software enables more than 160 organizations worldwide to protect their customers against fraudster attacks.
