Alipay has partnered 300 brands for online payments program within past year

Chinese Alibaba Groups online payment division Alipay has teamed with over 300 global companies across the US, Europe and Asia in the past year to deliver cross-border online payment services for those companies in China, Reuters reports.

These companies include retailers from Japan, Korea and Italy, such as Marui Group, Yodobashi Camera, IDEN and Forzieri; US software company McAfee as well as other online payment and e-commerce services providers, among which Digital River, Netherlands-based Global Collect, Ericsson Internet Payment eXchange, Taiwan-based ezPay, as well as online payment platforms Softbank Payment Service and Asiapay.

With more than 200 million registered users, Alipay delivers ecommerce payment technology and risk management system for banks and financial institutions. Alipay guarantees all transactions made via the AliPay escrow system and reimburses any buyer or seller who has utilised the system and has become a victim of fraud.
