Amazon denies Bitcoin rumours

Amazon, an online retailer, has no plans to integrate Bitcoin as a payment option for its online sales, Time.com reports.

Amazon’s head of payments told Re/Code that the company has no current plans to accept the digital currency because, in spite of the huge media coverage of the topic, the online retailer is not convinced that this option is right for consumers. Additionally, Bitcoin is not currently accepted by many traditional retailers.

In recent news, Congressman Steve Stockman has revealed plans to introduce the first regulation in the US legislation on virtual currencies.
