American Express OPEN, Rearden Commerce to launch online travel booking platform

American Express Open, a US-based payment card issuer for small businesses has teamed up with Rearden Commerce, an e-commerce services provider to launch a new online travel service aimed at small businesses.

The online travel booking platform will enable small businesses to make online purchases. Additionally, it will provide business owners with features such as reporting capabilities, in-destination services and the ability to set policy controls for employee business travel spending to control costs.

The platform is designed for American Express OPEN and will be powered by Rearden Commerce. American Express Open supports business owners with products and services, including business charge and credit cards. It provides a suite of business apps such as AcceptPay, a web-based tool that allows small business owners to accept online payments and electronically invoice customers, FX International Payments. a service which enables businesses to make international wire transfers and Ariba Discovery which is an online business matching service that helps buyers and sellers connect for new business opportunities.
