Australia: Fairfax Digital selects TNS for payment services

Wednesday 7 April 2010 13:56 CET | News

Transaction Network Services, a data communications and interoperability services provider, has signed a deal with Australian print and online media company Fairfax Media, to provide the latter with e-commerce payment services for its online subsidiary, Fairfax Digital.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fairfax Digital is allowed to access the TNS ePayment Gateway, a portal which addresses fraud, security and reconciliation for online payments. In addition, the bipartite partnership is set to enable Fairfax Digital to use TNS Stored Card Tokenisation, an application that encrypts and stores customer cardholder data.

The Stored Card Tokenisation allows card data exchange for a unique token that requires storage in the merchants system. The token protects the card information from unauthorised access.

Fairfax Digital is Australias network of online news, information and classified websites.
