Autoscribe, PayNearMe to offer pay-by-cash services at over 6,000 7-Eleven stores

US internet payment services provider Autoscribe has signed an agreement with payment services provider PayNearMe.

As part of the deal, PayNearMe’s cash-payment service will be offered via Autoscribe’s PaymentVision, a universal ACH (electronic checks) and credit card gateway, in order to allow users to make payments for various goods and services such as their utilities, loans or groceries using cash at any local 7-Eleven store.

The PayNearMe payments service excludes the use of credit or debit cards. Buyers have to print out a receipt for the products purchased online, show it to the clerk at the nearest 7-Eleven location and pay with cash. Because the point of sale terminals at 7-Eleven stores are connected directly to PayNearMes systems, merchants are notified when their consumer has paid. Moreover, merchants can use PayNearMe with no integration.

In recent news, PayNearMe has inked a contract with SteelSeries, a global manufacturer of gaming peripherals and accessories. Under the agreement, gaming consumers will be able to make product purchases on SteelSeries’ web shop and pay at any of over 6,000 7-Eleven retail locations across the US.
