Azimo secures GBP 300,000 from angel investors

UK-based money transfer service Azimo has secured GBP 300, 000 in an angel investment funding round.

The company has revealed plans to use the capital to expand its operations. Azimo’s service enables customers to send money to 125 countries worldwide in three ways, including cash collection at around 150,000 global payout locations, direct to a bank account or for mobile top-ups.

Azimo has also developed a built-in social network feature, which allows users to select friends from their Facebook account and make payments to them directly. The company has also revealed plans to incorporate other social media platforms into this service.
