Bank Central Asia rolls out KlikPay

Wednesday 1 February 2012 15:03 CET | News

Indonesian financial services provider Bank Central Asia (BCA) has rolled out an online payment service, dubbed KlikPay.

KlikPay will be available to BCA account holders who have signed up for individual KlikBCA and BCA credit cards.
In order to gain access to the service, account holders need to register via the bank’s website and activate the service after receiving a code, which will be sent out via text message by the bank. Once the service has been activated, users can begin shopping at selected merchants.

The bank will also issue a user identification and password for each customer to use when completing online payments. Users will not be able to perform any transactions without entering their passwords.

BCA has not revealed plans to include small, individual merchants to the system unless they were aggregated under a larger market place.
