Tuesday 24 August 2010 10:21 CET | News

Belgium-based payments technology provider Clear2Pay has entered a partnership with French financial services provider BNP Paribas. Under the agreement, the bank has been authorized to access Clear2Pay’s Open Payment Framework (OPF) in order to implement a single payments management platform for 13 of its countries in Asia.

BNP Paribas initiated the centralized payments project driven by the need to have a hub that could interface with BNP Paribas’ channels, a range of internal systems and the various domestic low value and high value payment systems, all with their own local language formats and requirements.

Set to operate from Singapore, the payments portal will process in the first phase all payment requirements for Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam.

Clear2Pay is a financial technology company focused on providing financial services institutions with electronic payments technology. Clear2Pay operates in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Senegal, United States, Australia, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
