Dutch online payment services provider Buckaroo has been granted a license to operate as payment institution under the Payment Services Directive (PSD).

The PSD license provides Buckaroo with a payment institution status officially issued by the Dutch Central Bank. The PSD license is an EU regulation aimed to aid the industry in making payments across Europe more transparent and efficient. The license is only provided to payment companies that comply with a wide set of rules and obligations that ensure quality and stability of the payment sector. In Dutch law, this regulation is included in the Financial Supervision Act.

Buckaroo provides online payment services for existing and starting webstores. The company supports payment methods such as credit cards, iDEAL, online on account, online invoicing and recurring payments.
