Canada: paysafecard inks contract with VendTek

paysafecard group, a European provider of payment processing services, has inked a contract with VendTek Systems, a developer and licensor of software for the global prepaid and financial services markets.

As part of the agreement, Canadian consumers will be able to use the paysafecard voucher, a prepaid service similar to cash, to pay for their online purchases.

The vouchers function similar to a charge card for mobile phones. When making a payment, customers financial privacy remains intact. To complete a transaction consumers have to introduce a 16-digit PIN. The paid amount is afterwards debited from the paysafecard balance, which can be checked online. paysafecard vouchers are available at nearly 15,000 outlets through VendTek in Canada in denominations of USD 10, USD 30, USD 50 and USD 100. Worldwide, more than 3,500 web-shops accept paysafecard as a payment method. The vouchers can be bought at 350,000 outlets in Europe, North America and South America.

paysafecard operates in 33 countries worldwide with offices in Vienna, London, Bern, New York and Buenos Aires.
