China: 99Bill inks strategic agreements with 8 banks

Chinese third-party payment services provider 99Bill has signed strategic agreements with eight banks to provide them with e-payment services.

99Bill has entered strategic agreements with eight Chinese financial institutions, namely China Construction Bank, the Agricultural Bank of China, the Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, the Pudong Development Bank, China Minsheng Bank, the Guangdong Development Bank and the Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank.

In May 2011, 99Bill has been granted an e-payment license from the Peoples Bank of China (PBoC), the countrys central bank. The company has obtained 6 of the 7 business scopes approved by the PBOC and plans to work in conjunction with banking partners to develop financial services for enterprise and business customers.
