US e-commerce services developer Digital River Panasonic has inked an e-commerce agreement with Panasonic, a provider of connected TV entertainment to manage the latter’s US e-commerce transactions for its Viera Connect Market.

As part of the agreement, Digital River’s e-commerce platform will leverage Panasonic’s orders and payments for reseller partners within the Viera Connect Market. Panasonic’s Viera Connect Market offers consumers a purchase experience inside Panasonic’s line of 2011 Viera Connect-enabled Viera HDTVs. Consumers in the Viera Connect Market are able to make purchases from a catalogue of hardware products as well as apps from third-party developers.

In recent news, PayPal has expanded its online payment services deal with Digital River by leveraging the latter’s World Payments service to support local online payment processing in Brazil and Mexico.
