Dutch online payments services provider Docdata Payments has received a Payment Institution (PI) license from the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).

Based on the EU Payment Service Directive (PSD), the license confirms that Docdata Payments operates in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as an international payment service provider. The PSD provides a system of licenses for payment service providers (PSPs), lays down information requirements regarding payment services and lists rights and obligations of both PSPs and users. The aim of this directive is to ensure the safety and efficiency of payments throughout the European Union / European Economic Area, in particular for credit transfers, direct debit mandates, card payments, as well as for money transfer services.

Docdata payments provides international payment services for businesses, institutions and governments selling through internet. The company’s services focus on online processing and reconciliation of payments, from the moment a consumer places the order until the moment the funds are paid to the merchant.
