US electronic payment services provider Euronet Worldwide has established a single brand for its global prepaid division which was previously operating under six different names.

In a bid to turn the division into a provider of payment services and technology from a prepaid mobile top-up distributor, the company will unite the prepaid subsidiaries under one identity: epay. Some of Euronets prepaid subsidiaries are already operating under the epay name, while the remaining companies, including PaySpot, Telerecarga, Movilcarga, Brodos and Transact are about to adopt the epay branding.

With a retail network of approximately 227,000 locations, epay operates on international markets including UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, US, Poland, Romania, Austria, Switzerland and Ireland. In 2008 epay processed over 700 million payment transactions worth USD 11 billion. epay delivers top-up or recharge services for prepaid mobile airtime, prepaid debit cards and e-wallets, payment services for bills, road tolls and money transfer, as well as marketing and distribution services for gift cards, digital content and transport tickets.

Euronet Worldwide processes electronic financial and payment transactions. Its service segments include financial institutions, mobile operators, merchants and money transfer sending and receiving agents.
