eWise appoints three new executives

US-based provider of online payments and online financial management services eWise has appointed Alexandre Gonthier as Chief Executive Officer. In addition, the company has also selected Phillip Riese for the position of chairman of the board and named Eric Archambeau the new director of the company. The three executives have previously worked in the payments industry.

Alexandre Gonthier has also worked in the online and mobile payment sector. He was the CEO of iPIN, which he co-founded in 1997. Phillip Riese has been in leadership positions at American Express for 18 years while Eric Archambeau has focused on high-tech management and social networking, data mining and electronic marketplaces.

The eWise platform offers consumers alternative methods to pay bills or shop online via their computer or a mobile device. Consumers are able to make payments on a biller or merchant website directly from their bank account, through their existing online banking credentials to authorize the payment. The consumer confirms payment and returns to the biller or merchant website for their receipt.

In addition, the eWise platform provides the Secure Vault Payments network in the US in partnership with The Electronic Payments Association (NACHA).

In recent news , eWise has joined forces with Online banking services provider Jwaala to offer a new online payment alternative for credit union members, merchants and billers.
