The new methods, which are set to expand the use and support of Facebook Credits, include the ELV (Elektronisches Lastschrift Verfahren) payment method in Germany, MyCard Mobile in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Visa Electron in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and WebBilling Online Bank Transfer in Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland.
In addition, Facebook has also updated its Credits policy to prevent applications from transferring Credits to one other without Facebook approval. The new policy is meant to hinder applications which facilitate illegal gambling and prevent several game developers from using one type of premium currency across more than one game running on different app IDs.
On October 2011, Facebook has announced the addition of several new payment methods for Facebook Credits, including: Axeso5 (Brazil), Join Card (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand), Malaysia OBT (Malaysia), MEPS FPX (Malaysia), MEPSCASH (Malaysia), PayEasy (Philippines), PaysBuy (Thailand), SafetyPay (Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Spain, Austria, Brazil), and WebCash (Malaysia). Facebook now supports over 80 payment methods in more than 50 countries around the world.
