Facebook introduces SafetyPay as payment method for Facebook Credits

Facebook has added SafetyPay, a US-based online payment systems developer, to enable users to purchase Facebook Credits.

As part of the agreement, SafetyPay is set to be used as a payment option for Facebook Credits in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Spain, Canada, US, Austria, Germany and Brazil beginning with December 2011. Facebook Credits are available via SafetyPay without having to share personal financial information. Facebook Credits are used to play games and buy items in virtual games, downloads, movies.

In addition, Facebook allows users to purchase Facebook Credits as a gift card at store like GameStop, 7-Eleven, Target and Best Buy

In recent news, Facebook has introduced new international payment methods in Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Latin America.
