First Atlantic Commerce is certified to Allied Irish Bank, Elavon & Barclays for Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode

First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), an online payment gateway and fraud management services provider, is now certified to Allied Irish Bank Merchant Services (AIBMS), Elavon and Barclaycard for 3-D Secure Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.

By certifying for 3-D Secure with European banks and processors, FAC enables merchants to use FACs 3-D Secure only payer authentication solutions to obtain liability shift for chargebacks on certain reason codes.

3-D Secure can be used to determine the enrollment status of the Issuing Bank and the cardholder so merchants can pre-determine the risk profile of new consumers before the first transaction. FAC also provides North American Address Verification services and CVV2/CVC2/CID verification as standalone services. FACs online payment and risk mitigation solutions are compliant and PCI certified, and also available to banks and processors across Europe, CEMEA and Asia.

AIBMS, a provider of card acceptance services, is a joint venture between AIB and First Data. Elavon is a global provider of merchant acquiring services. Payment processor UK Barclaycard is the credit card division of UK financial services company Barclays.
