FirstData selects Acculynk`s online PIN-debit technology

US electronic commerce and payment processing company First Data has entered an agreement with the online PIN-debit technology provider Acculynk.

Under the terms of the deal, First Data is set to provide its online merchants with PaySecure, Acculynk`s internet PIN debit service, via the former’s e-commerce payment processing platforms.

PaySecure is an optional cardholder verification method for PIN-based e-commerce transactions.Via PaySecure, customers are able pay with participating debit cards and a PIN and they are not required registration or redirection from the merchant’s payment page. PaySecure enables PIN debit payments on the internet via its graphical PIN-pad that appears at the merchant checkout.

Acculynk’s PaySecure is available through the internet, mobile and kiosk channels for over 3,000 US e-commerce merchants. So far, the company has entered partnerships with nine EFT networks and merchant acquirers. In January 2011, Acculynk revealed its plans to make the PaySecure internet PIN debit product available for smartphones.
