G-Xchange, a subsidiary of Philippines-based mobile operator Globe Telecom and operator of the m-commerce service GCash, has teamed up with global financial services company American Express to allow users in the Philippines to shop online.

Following the partnership, Filipino users will be able to buy applications, music or videos for their smartphone or access the popular iTunes store owned by Apple.

Once GCASH has validated the account, the customer will immediately receive a virtual card number, a personalized US shipping address and other pertinent information via e-mail.
