Monday 10 August 2009 10:42 CET | News

UK-based e-commerce services provider Gate2Shop has expanded its payment methods range, in a bid to enable its vendors to expand the number of currencies they are using for online transactions, ecommwire.com reports.

According to the same source, the company has added a series of payment methods specifically for conducting business in Israel, including the Israeli credit/debit cards and the Israeli Shekel currency, as well as the Carte Bleue, CartaSI and Dankort cards for vendors who run their business in France, Italy and Denmark. The Carte Bleue is a debit card payment scheme which allows for settlement of all purchases, including those made via the internet, and cash withdrawal in 160 countries. Carte Bleue is the exclusive representative of the Visa brand in France. The Dankort is a Danish debit card and the national credit card of Denmark, usually combined with a VISA card so it can be used abroad, while CartaSI is a debit card in use in Italy.
