GlobalCollect wins payment processing contract for Star Vault`s new online game

GlobalCollect, an online payment services provider has won a contract from Sweden-based independent game developer Star Vault to process payments for its new Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) Mortal Online.

As a result of this partnership, GlobalCollect will process credit cards, direct debits and alternative payments in Europe and the US to enable Mortal Online players to pay for the game`s license and monthly subscriptions. Currently, the MMORPG is in the beta testing stage, but it is scheduled for release in Europe and US in Q4 2009.

GlobalCollect is a Netherlands-based payment services provider of local e-payment solutions for international Customer Not-Present (CNP) channels such as internet, mail and telephone orders, and specialized in a wide range of industries such as travel, ticketing, telecommunications, retail, publishing, portals, online gaming, and digital content. Through a single-interface online payment platform, the company provides access to a portfolio of local and international payment methods in over 200 countries, including all major credit and debit cards, direct debits, bank transfers, real-time bank transfers, eWallets, cash at outlets, prepaid methods, checks, and invoices.

Most recently, Monte Cristo, a game production company, has partnered GlobalCollect to provide players of the massively multiplayer online game Cities XL with an online payment platform.
