As part of the agreement, HomeATMs internet PIN entry device (PED) Rover will be integrated with the CardinalCommerces Universal PIN Debit Service (UPDS), which will be offered to merchants that use the Cardinal Centinel universal merchant platform. Centinel is targeted at internet and mobile commerce merchants andsupports 3D-Secure payment brands and alternative payment options.
Via UPDS, Centinel merchants will provide their online and mobile customers with an additional payment method and the ability to make online PIN debit transactions. UPDS also features device level 3DES encryption, 4-factor authentication and fraud prevention.
While shopping online using their PIN debit card, consumers simply swipe their card into their personal Rover and enter their PIN to authenticate themselves. HomeATM’s Rover provides multi-factor authentication for e-commerce and m-commerce transactions and is compliant with PCI certification 2.1.
