Friday 4 July 2014 11:18 CET | News

Hubud (Hub-in-Ubud), an Indonesia-based coworking space in Bali, has begun accepting Bitcoin payments.

Hubud members can now purchase memberships and pay for products, events and excursions using Bitcoin. Hubud’s community comprises mobile entrepreneurs and professionals engaged in digital enterprises.

Bitcoin is a form of digital currency that only exists online and is not controlled by any central financial authority, putting the control of the currency in the hands of the user. It allows people to transfer value to anyone, anywhere on the internet, without the traditional fees, commissions or currency exchange rates.
