Thursday 6 January 2011 10:07 CET | News

Israel-based private financial services institution Mizrahi Tefahot (MZTF) is likely to sign an agreement with online payment site PayPal, according to sources cited by media outlet globes.co.il.

As part of the deal, the MZTF credit card (Hacartis) will be linked to PayPal accounts, thus enabling customers to use PayPal services for online transactions. Furthermore, MZTF is set to rebrand its credit cards as benefit cards in order to offer consumers more value for the money.

Via PayPal, customers can make online transactions either in Israel or other countries. PayPal enables the customers to shop online without revealing their credit card details to the merchants.
