Paylets are reusable software components that are set to support several payment patterns, delivering payment capabilities such as card issuing, money transfers and multi-party transaction coordination through publicly available APIs. Ixaris’s open payment platform works with Visa, MasterCard and SWIFT for card issuing, money transfers as well as card acquiring and bank payment services.
The Opn Virtual Card paylet is set to issue a virtual Visa card to users, delivered on-screen with a 16-digit card number, 3-digit security code and expiry date. The Opn Customer Connect paylet is set to enable businesses to send payments to customers through a web-service interface, allowing recipients to retrieve the payment either on a virtual or physical card. Payment can also be sent to the their bank account. Finally, the Opn Fund Forward paylet is expected to offer person-to-person (P2P) payments, allowing users to send and receive funds to and from other users.
Most recently, Ixaris has entered a partnership with Apigee, a provider of API products and technology, to create an API platform for enterprises and developers creating payment applications on Ixaris Opn.
