Kabbage uses technology to quickly analyze online sellers sales and credit history; customer traffic and reviews; and prices and inventory compared to competitors. PayPal X Adaptive Payments APIs enable Kabbage to make working capital available to eBay and other online marketplace sellers.
Expensify is an adopter of PayPal Business Payments, a pilot program for applications that address key customer needs ranging from invoicing to disbursements, payroll, rent and tax collection. Through PayPal Business Payments, developers have access to $.50 flat fee pricing for U.S. dollar transactions funded using a PayPal balance or eCheck only.
Part of the PayPal X platform, the Adaptive Payments API is a set of building blocks that provides developers with access to various the tools for the creation of customized payment services. This allows payments on multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and others.
In other news, Outright.com, a provider of online accounting for the self employed, has launched an accounting app in PayPal Apps Beta. Under the terms of the deal, Outright.com will offer its services to PayPal customers via the Outright accounting application available in the PayPal Apps beta. PayPal Apps will allow developers to embed applications directly on the PayPal website and offer SaaS (Software as a Service) apps which enhance PayPal’s services. Currently in beta, PayPal Apps is available to Innovate 2010 attendees and will be launched to a broader audience early next year.
